Built on the shoulders of giants, the body and long tenon attached (?) neck were hand made in the UK by the immensely genius-like Grahame Pollard.
From there it went west to the Wizard that is Richard Rendell for a unique (and he has sworn he will never do it again for many reasons) Violet Flake Nitrocellulose finish. This is crazing already on the top and is quite simply immense under the lights. There is no way in the world to capture the awesomeness of this finish in a foto, but it is like an over-active glitter-ball.
The pickup is one of Marc Ransley's famous Mojo P90s and roars, whilst he also supplied the wiring loom with top notch CTS pots, PIO cap and everything else, so that should last for decades too..
Hardware is cool. We decided against Sperzels in the end and went for the Kluson three-on-a-strip-of-metal originals, which work beautifully.
The wraparound bridge is from Faber and is aluminium, the studs are from Mojotone, and the knobs are Gretsch stylee.
To say we're excited about this one is an understatement. Not least because it will no doubt be a while until the next.
All in all, this is a stunning looking guitar that plays beautifully and nails all of the classic tones.

To be clear, The Violent Chameleon One is an utterly unique guitar, and there will never, ever, be another made. It is signed and numbered, entirely hand built and finished cooler than a slo-mo run across the pebbled beach at Portishead. There will genuinely never be another guitar like this and past experience suggests that it won’t be around for long.
