Sold: The Klondike Gold Rush One

The Klondike Gold Rush One is a rather stunning alder bodied La Cabronita telecaster.
From the top it has the coolest looking Mother of Jooky finish yet, a gorgeous USACG maple neck and a few more tricks to boot. Sperzel tuners, Hipshot Hardtail Bridge, it just goes on and on and on and then on a bit more.

The pickups are a stunning pair of Mojo Pickups Foiltron pickups, with an amazing sound based on the old Teisco Gold Foil Pickups.

These give beautiful cleans but still take the paper off the wall without blinking. Wiring is the usual top quality Mojo fare too, for many a mile of confident enhancing motoring.

*
To be clear, The Klondike Gold Rush One is an utterly unique guitar, and there will never, ever, be another made. It is signed and numbered, entirely hand built and finished cooler than a slo-mo run across the pebbled beach at Portishead. There will genuinely never be another guitar like this and past experience suggests that it won’t be around for long.

In Them There Hills

Well, The Klondike Gold Rush One is coming together nicely. I fitted a superb Hipshot hardtail bridge, it has a lovely USACG neck, some Sperzel tuners, and the most delish of groovy Mother of Jooky finish.

So all good, I even remembered the strap pins, but the choice of pickup has been doing me bonce in, I must admit.

So imagine my joy and lust when Mr Mojo pointed me at a set of his latest trix, his Filterfoils - basically Filtertron sized Foil Pickups. Destined to turn my La Cab into a reet dirty bint.

Needless to say I didn't exactly need anything in the persuasion dept.

So they should be here and nailed in soon-as.

See, it's quite simple this Jooky lark really.

Some Candy Talking

Well, it seems I have another wee Jaguar project to get my head around, and it looks rather spiffy, I have to say.

Excuse the warped pickguard, I really shouldn't leave them in the shine of the sun, but the lush Sherwood green nitro cellulose finish  is gloriously wicked and in simple terms, I really can't wait.

That will become The Toking One, obviously.

In other news, I got first sight of the circuit board thingies for the Sophie's Filthy Boots Fuzzes and they look as dreamy as a circuit board can.

Verily classy posh methinks.

Can't wait to get my sticky little fingers on the first of the Sophie's..

*sigh*

Finish The Finish

Well, not a lot been-happening in recent times, but I did manage to finish the finish on The Klondike Gold Rush One which is looking rather pearly nice with it's purple and buried gold top being, err, counter-pointed by the gold rush of the back.

Just waiting on a few parts for this 'un, but I must admit I'm still struggling to decide on the pickups. On one hand I'm thinking Mojotron at the bridge and P90 at the neck, but then I keep thinking of something darker and dirtier with blades and cuttingness and wow-wtf-was-that as a leit-motif. Either way it will be groovy, but I'm kinda in a dirty mcflirty grease ball place as far as guitars go at the moment and I was this to rip your face off with menaces.

As for the rest, the neck is a posh USACG one that has been pampered by Mr Wes Venables, tuners will be Sperzels, bridge Hipshot and there we be.

Man I hate Sundays

Two Little Jookies - Blasts From The Past

Well, it isn't often I see some of my former glories popping up for sale, so two in one week makes it an event, so I thought I'd point them out.

The first is the Grestch-esque The Bella Donna One, with it's TV Jones pickup and glorious corroded copper finish.

That is for sale HERE
and the original spec is THERE.

The other is the Les Paul Special, The Wasteland One, which was a bit of a monster as I  recall with a gorgeous rusty swirl of a finish on it.

That is for sale HERE
and the original spec is THERE.

Changeling, See Me Change

Well, an interesting week saw not a lot done guitar-wise, but not a total loss as I finally got the web site pretty much fettled. It needs a few fotos, but they are planned quick smart soon, so all is groovy.

It is going to be interesting though, as it has focussed my mind somewhat about how I want things to work, so there are a couple of new wrinkles in there with the Sophie's and what not, and I think it will be cool.

I also took the chance to give the old place a make-over with agent orange paisley.

Anyway, 15th of July for the launch (probably) and then stuff will roll-out over the summer a bit more.

Oh, and as every revolution doesn't just  need  T-shirt, I thought we needed a poster too, so this be it...
